Free Masterclass at Boneo Park
The free Masterclass attracts an enormous cross-section of people. The Masterclass does reach up into the full blown Grand Prix levels, so in the crowd will be some of Australia's top riders who are very interested in the ideas and interpretations being used and expressed in the training of Regardez Moi and Jive Magic. Riding at these top levels is not a reflection of amazing riding skills (surprise, surprise) but rather a reflection of a well thought out and rationalized intellectual journey. So amazingly the more advanced a rider is the more interesting becomes the Masterclass!
However the Masterclass does start at the other end with Ann-Maree Cambridge (Lourey) who shows off Byalee Briar who is just starting his dressage career in Preliminary and Novice levels. It is at this level that many riders find it easy to relate to and are able to glean tips from the performance which prove to be very useful immediately.
Byalee Romance represents a more established Medium level horse which is half way to Grand Prix whilst AEA Tuschinski represents a baby horse just approaching Medium level.
AEA Metallic is a seasoned Prix St George horse now and Dirk Dijkstra is a Dutchman and presents some training ideas which are not quite conventional but in Europe are proving to be enormously successful. In actual fact so successful that the Dutch have for the first time ever beaten the Germans comprehensively and are claiming the crown to be the leading dressage Nation in the world.
This presentation of different ideas is incredibly stimulating and only adds to the intellectual journey that we Australians have to embark upon if we are indeed to become the number one dressage nation in the world!
Cheers,
Heath
