Smack the Pony

Seasoned Prix St George/Inter I/Inter II pony. Schooling through all Grand Prix work; about to have his first GP start. Smack has a wonderful temperament and has always been ridden by a junior rider. This is a very sad sale due to the rider outgrowing the pony.

Smack is without doubt one of the most amazing ponies anywhere in the world. He is for sale simply because his 17yo owner/rider Katie Ryman has outgrown him. Katie got Smack when she was 9 years of age and Smack was 3 years of age. Together they have been on an incredible journey, and today Smack has arguably the best flying changes of any horse anywhere in the world. Smack is currently working on his flying changes every stride however flying changes every second stride, every third stride and every fourth stride are expressive and easy. All trained by Katie. Smack has really good shoulder in and half-pass in both trot and canter. Smack has a great extended trot. Smack has a canter pirouette that would make most Olympic horses green with envy. Smack has a passage that is so expressive that again it is nearly impossible to believe. All of this trained by Katie. Piaffe is still a work in progress, and may never be as expressive as the passage, but it will be good enough. Smack has already competed at Prix St Georges and Inter I and Inter II. Smack is a very special pony, looking for a very special home.
