Rogue Trader R is a magnificent and immediately memorable individual. He is bred in the purple being by the current Australian Grand Prix Dressage Champion Regardez Moi out of the Jive Magic mare Jean R. Jive Magic of course being Rozzie Ryan’s big hope for the 2012 London Olympics. Interestingly the grand-dam on the bottom line Lucilla is a full sister to the stallion Stirling Liberty who sired the Grand Prix horse Snowy River Blackwood who with Di Jenkyns in the saddle was one of Australia’s top Grand Prix dressage horses for many years. Rogue Trader R is a full package. All quality but quiet and safe. He has good walk, correct classical trot with potential to be spectacular, beautifully balanced canter with talent for collection and a sensationally elegant way of presenting himself. Rogue Trader R was selected by Heath as an understudy for Regardez Moi and will indeed continue in that role if he doesn’t sell. He is simply being offered so that the auction has a magnificent flagship that will make it worthwhile for a serious buyer to make the effort to attend the auction. Make no mistake this horse is everything he is purported to be. To date he has been schooled and campaigned mostly by Emma Armstrong who is tiny and weighs only 40kg. Already he has many wins in Preliminary classes with many scores over 70%. This is a very serious unblemished dressage horse.
