RIO R

Rio R is a spectacular young filly who has the potential to set the world on fire. She is by Regardez Moi, the current Australian Grand Prix Dressage Champion and he has only just recently returned to Australia from the World Cup Finals in Las Vegas. Rio R's dam Java R is by Jive Magic who has just won his first Grand Prix scalp. The grand-dam is Marge, who is by Medallion, again a Grand Prix Dressage horse himself and by the famous May Sherif, who is still the only stallion in the World to sire 2 World Cup Dressage winners (see the write-up on Rainmaker R for more information). Lilac, right down the bottom is a full sister to stallion Stirling Liberty who was a World Cup Showjumper with Australian Olympian Gavin Chester at the tender young age of just 7 years. Perhaps more importantly Stirling Liberty is the sire of Snowy River Blackwood, who was one of the top Grand Prix horses on the Australian Dressage scene a couple of years ago with Di Jenkyns.

The dam of Rio R is Java R who is a full sister to Justin Thyme R who was sold to Olympian Mary Hanna, to Jiminy Cricket R who was bought by FEI dressage rider Michelle Cunningham and to Jude R who was bought by International Grand Prix rider Sue Hearn. There is actually another spectacular brother out there called Jack in the Box R. Rio R is the first filly from this line to ever be offered for sale and of course Ryan's have retained an older full sister. This filly is going to be very closely related to Australian Grand Prix Champions in the not too distant future. This is a self fulfilling prophecy with riders of the above calibre riding and training the above mentioned horses. Rio R is going to be a very valuable broodmare without doing anything or an absolutely state of the art, top of the range competition Dressage horse.
