Ribbleton Espresso is a fascinating mix of German state-of-the-art jumping blood and Australian thoroughbred bloodlines, which have a history of producing Olympic showjumpers and eventers. By the time of the auction, Espresso will have started his jumping training and we hope it will be truly exciting. Espresso has only just been broken in by Gordon Bishop and had his initial schooling done by David Shoobridge. Espresso is now under the watchful eye of Heath Ryan. As can be seen in the photograph, Espresso is also very pleasing to the eye and is going to be very nice on the fl at. On the sire’s side, the great-grandfather, Esprit, is also the sire of Olympic dressage medallist Elvis, ridden by Nadine Cappelman. On the dam’s side, Imperial Prince is responsible for any number of World Cup show-jumpers and eventers. Ribbleton Espresso could well be the sleeper of the auction and people would do well to assess this fellow closely on the official day of the trialling, the day before the auction.
