Further Information

JOURNEYMAN R

Sire: Jive Magic.   Dam: Shannon R - Salute.   D.O.B. 27/10/09

Journeyman R's sire, Jive Magic, is now a full blown Grand Prix stallion who already has beaten some of the best horses in Australia. Jive Magic will be very difficult to keep out of the Australian Team for the World Equestrian Games in the USA later this year. Jive has been described on numerous occasions as the most powerful dressage horse in Australia.

Journeyman R is out of perhaps the most successful dressage broodmare in Australia today, Shannon R.

Shannon R is the dam of:

  • Daylight (currently campaigning at Grand Prix from Monica Theodorescu's stable in Germany with Australian rider Brianna Burgess)
  • Don Romeo (who was winning at Prix St George and about to start Grand Prix with Australian International rider Sue Hearn but was unfortunately for us exported to England)
  • Don Rivera (winning Prix St George with Rozzie Ryan)
  • Donna Carina (winning at advanced level with Young Rider)
  • Jeff The Chef (currently USA National Advanced Dressage Champion and has already competed Grand Prix with Silva Martin) - this is a full brother to Journeyman R.
  • Jonquil R - full sister to Journeyman R and retained at stud by Heath & Rozzie Ryan.
  • Donna Karan (broodmare with Bradgate Park - Donna Karan's oldest progeny is Jive Talkin' BP who is currently winning at Medium level and is being campaigned towards the British Dressage Team for the 2012 London Olympics)
  • Journeyman R also has another four brothers / sisters who have not yet had enough time to make their mark on the competition world.
  • Shannon R is currently back in foal to Jive Magic.

Shannon R (dam of Journeyman R) is by Salute who is probably the number one sire of Olympic discipline horses in Australia today.

Salute is the sire of:

  • Victory Salute (who is currently the Australian Grand Prix Champion and in Holland being ridden by Brett Parbery representing Australia at the World Cup Final as this goes to print. A firm favorite for the Australian World Equestrian Games team at the end of this year).
  • GV Stirling Stilton (highest placed Australian team member at the World Equestrian games in 2002 in Jerez Spain with Heath Ryan in the saddle)
  • DP Christopher (owned by Susie Duddy and NSW Grand Prix Dressage Champion)
  • Staccato (who with Craig Barrett, was the number 1 eventing stallion in the world in the WSBH World rankings)
  • GV Stirling Sioux (4-star eventer with Olympian Olivia Bunn)
  • Mr Shirvington (Advanced eventer with Australian International rider David Middleton)
  • Sydney Lights (2-star superstar with Heath Ryan and sold to China for $250,000)

Journeyman is a remarkable individual as can be seen in the photo. We expect him to grow to between 16.2hh and 17.1hh and be almost guaranteed to be Internationally successful. Few people understand that riding at the top takes courage. To buy Journeyman will be a public statement that you have every intention of mixing it with the best in the world. Do you dare to buy Journeyman!

Journeyman will be auctioned on 16th May in the Southern Highland NSW along with 25 other purpose bred youngsters. For more details contact Heath Ryan 0417 656636 or email: info@ryanshorses.com.au or view the full catalogue at www.auctionofthestars.com
