This is a sensational big filly who is quite different to the normal horses bred by Ryan's in that she is not only bred to be a Dressage horse, but absolutely represents a genetic collection specifically aimed at Eventing Gold medals. Gabriella is by Koyuna Genesis who himself is by Brilliant Invader. Brilliant Invader is the sire of Ready Teddy who was an eventing Olympic Gold medallist as well as a World Champion with NZ rider Blyth Tait. Right now, Wendy Schaeffer is having wonderful success at 4**** eventing level and also at World Cup showjumping level with her Brilliant Invader horses. Koyuna Genesis is out of Lady Dorothy, who goes back to Souvenir blood through Copper Glow, and Lady Dorothy is also the dam of Koyuna Sun Magic who won the Sydney International 3*** 3DE in 2005 with Wendy Schaeffer. Lady Dorothy is also the dam of Koyuna Azgard who with Ryan Wood went around the Adelaide 4**** 3DE. Shakira is the dam of Gabriella R and she is by Salute. Salute is the sire of a number of top Grand Prix Dressage horses, such as Stirling Stilton, the highest scoring Australian team member at the WEG in Spain in 2002, Victory Salute who is currently ridden by Brett Parbery and who has recently scored 70.34% at the Sydney CDI which is an Australian record for an International competition, and DP Christopher who a couple of years ago was the NSW Grand Prix Champion. Salute is also the dam's sire of Mystery Whisper who won the Sydney 3*** 3DE and is currently the youngest 3*** 3DE winner in the world today. Salute is also the sire of Stirling Sprite who showjumped with Vicky Roycroft at World Cup level. Shakira is out of Lucilla who is a full sister to Stirling Liberty, who campaigned at World Cup Showjumping level with Australian Olympian Gavin Chester at the tender age of just 7 years. Stirling Liberty did go onto sire many showjumpers and also Snowy River Blackwood who was one of Australia's top Grand Prix Dressage horses under Di Jenkyns.
