This is for the punters. Drumming R is until this moment unknown to anyone other than us here at Ryans. At 2 years of age, rising 3 its all speculation. The pedigree is absolutely sensational. His sire De Niro is currently the most influential sire of Olympic and World Championship Grand Prix dressage horses without question. De Niro is responsible for legends like  Desperados FRH (Kristina Bröring-Spreh), Du Soleil (Kristy Oatley’s best horse ever), Deja (Patrik Kittel), in actual fact De Niro all on his own is responsible for some 445 competition horses which are registered FEI International Dressage Horses. Simply amazing. Drumming R is out of the Totilas mare Top of the Morning R. Totilas is still considered today as being the most amazing dressage horse ever seen, and we are unlikely to see another horse like that for another 100 years. Totilas broke all world records. The Totilas bloodlines are only just now starting to hit the competition scene. Drumming R is going to be one of the first colts available in the world who combines the blue chip De Niro dynasty with the Totilas bloodlines. The photo of Drumming R is a baby who was brought out the paddock for a quick photo shoot just for this tiny introduction. He is extremely quiet and did not present charismatic energetic moments to catch a glimpse of a star of the future. However for those of us interested in riding these stars, quiet is good! Drumming R does represent the very edges of genetics of the dressage world. Drumming R covered one mare last season simply because we couldn’t help ourselves and she is in foal. We are excitedly waiting to see the first born!
