Gordon Pratt

Gordon started full time here at Ryans in November 2010. Certainly for most of the initial time he has been the only male staff member. At times this is a distinct disadvantage however Gordon comes from a family of four sisters so he has grown up learning how to cope. Gordon is a very talented rider both in the dressage arena and also on the eventing field. Gordon is also a very intense competitor and has won more competitions during his stay here than he has lost or placed in. Gordon's parents, Jeff and Narelle, have a hay making farm called Tocumwal Hay and Seed Supply. Tocumwal is a small country town approx 45 mins west of Albury on the Murray River. Gordon started riding on the farm as early as 10 years of age doing stock work. Gordon has some five broodmares mostly based with his mum and dad and has a program producing young stock mainly aimed at the dressage arena. Gordon has a dressage competition horse called Lungda Taboo who is currently competing at Elementary level and working on moving up to Medium level. Gordon also rides Millie for some clients and this Richmeed Medallion mare has been exceptionally succesful with Gordon winning Novice dressage tests and placing 2nd in her first ODE at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre.
